Gooding Inducted into Small Business Center Hall of Fame.
LOCKPORT, NY - June 1, 2008
Gerald Hace, president of Gooding Co. Inc., is pleased to announce that
the company was recently inducted into New York State's Small Business
Development Center (SBDC) Hall of Fame. Gooding joins a group of 38
small New York businesses recognized by the SBDC for their outstanding
vision, persistence, ingenuity, and innovation.
Companies considered for the SBDC Hall of Fame are those that have had a significant impact on their community, provide entrepreneurial motivation, and have a strong relationship with the SBDC. A committee of regional center directors and advisors then selects "the best of the best" for induction into the Hall of Fame.
Originally established in 1876 as general printing company, Gooding was purchased by Hace in 1990 and has transitioned the company into a specialty printer of Inserts and Outserts for the pharmaceutical and medical industries. Since then, the company has tripled in size; has had an overall economic impact of more than $2 million; and employs 32 people, more than doubling its payroll over the past two decades.
"We're honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame," said Hace. "Through a clear vision, and with the help of our dedicated employees and the team from the Niagara SBDC, Gooding has been able to maneuver through 18 years of growth in Western New York."
