Newly installed printing equipment keeps Gooding on cutting edge.
LOCKPORT, NY - May 16, 2008
In an effort to improve efficiency and reduce its impact on the
environment, Gooding Co. Inc., a 132-year-old manufacturer of Inserts
and Outserts for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, recently
installed a state-of-the art computer-to-plate printing system at its
Lockport, NY production facility.
The latest in technology for printing, the Screen 41 PlateRite will help Gooding increase plating times by 35%. The system will also help the company offer sharper images and a more consistent product to customers.
In addition, the Screen PlateRite 4100 eliminates the use of film in the printing process; rather, a laser exposes the plates directly. The installation included the Fujifilm FLH Z Supreme plate processor the most environmentally friendly processor currently available in this configuration.
One of the nation's oldest printers, Gooding was established in 1876 and is headquartered in Lockport, NY, just outside of Niagara Falls.
